Open your can.
Just like always: tab up. The clip goes on after you open it, so nothing changes about the can itself.

Click it onto the rim.
The clip drops inside the rim and the tab of the can stays on top of it. Press down and it grips. It stays put, even when the can tips over.

Give it a half turn.
Grab the ribbed grip and turn. Opening over the hole: drink. A half turn further: covered. You never take the clip off to drink, you only turn it.
